Do you offer courses or individual lessons?
We offer courses to complete German levels A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, C2 as well as individual lessons to prepare the student, for example, for an exam or a job interview
What materials do you use?
We use the learning materials which work best for you and your goals. Text books, newspaper articles, short videos, books or tv-series are some of the materials we use.
Where do I take the lessons?
All of our lessons are offered online, so you can learn in the comfort of your home. We use Skype or Zoom for our videoconferencing calls.
How long will the lesson last?
The lesson is 45 minutes long.
Is homework required?
The student should complete all homework assignments before the start of the next class. We will correct your homework before your next lesson, so we can understand your weaknesses, answer your questions and focus on building your skills. Your understanding and use of the language will continually improve as you complete more homework.
Is it possible to cancel/reschedule a lesson?
You can cancel or reschedule a lesson 24 hours before the lesson; otherwise, the lesson will be charged. In case of emergency or sickness, we will not charge you for the lesson you missed.
How will the lesson be structured?
Every lesson is unique. As you will have two teachers, each of them will focus on different aspects of your learning. The first teacher will introduce and review grammar concepts with you and will work with you on your vocabulary and writing skills as well as help you to
improve your listening and reading. The second teacher will focus on conversation, so you can improve your listening and speaking.
How do I begin lessons?
Before you begin lessons, please send us an email stating your German level and your goal(s). With this information, we will be better prepared to provide an effective trial lesson.
How many lessons per week do you recommend?
In general, we recommend 2-3 lessons per week, but the frequency of the lessons will depend on your goal, the period of time you would like to complete this goal and the available time you have for homework.
What German levels do you teach?
We teach all German levels, but the structure of the lesson and plan will change depending on the level.
Do I have to speak some German before starting lessons with you?
No, we also teach students with no German experience.
What else do I need to know?
As you may have additional questions, I recommend that you take a trial lesson. During this time, we’ll be happy to discuss your goals and structure a plan that fits your needs.
Is it also possible to work with only one teacher?
Yes, of course. If you prefer to work only with one teacher, that’s also possible. We’ll figure out what works best for you in our first
meeting
